Resistance (AMR) Research Sandpit – 24th November (Robinson College)

Calling all Early Career Researchers

(PhD students, Postdocs, and intermediate fellows)!

Cambridge Infectious Diseases IRC is pleased to announce a one-day cross-disciplinary Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) Research Sandpit event for ECRs on 24th November 2021 (to be held in-person in Robinson College).

The aim of the Sandpit is to bring ECR scientists from the Schools of Clinical Medicine, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Technology, and Humanities and Social Sciences to develop new cross-disciplinary research proposals aimed at tackling an important aspect of antimicrobial resistance (AMR)

The day will involve talks from senior researchers in Cambridge, mentored breakout sessions, and group discussions in order to create truly innovative research proposals.

The winning proposal(s) will be pump primed by CID IRC. Senior CID researchers will then help guide successful applicants through the process of applying for external grants to continue their work.

We encourage all of you working on AMR from any perspective to sign up for the event.

If you would like to participate, please fill out this form before the 1st of Novemberhttps://forms.gle/qper1v2YNR5jNJ5NA

For further questions, please contact Prof Andres Floto (arf27@cam.ac.uk) or me, Maria Bargues-Ribera (mb2464@cam.ac.uk).
