Cambridge Centre for Physical Biology

Visiting Scholars’ programme

The Cambridge Centre for Physical Biology - Visiting Scholars’ programme aims to attract internationally leading scientists working at the interface of the physical and life sciences to visit Cambridge for up to 3 weeks. During their visit, the visitor will be expected to connect with the local community, presenting new ideas in the field and/or establish or consolidate research collaborations.

The Visiting Scholar will be expected to deliver three talks (seminars and/or informal lectures) during her/his stay, including one presentation open to the general public, and contribute to networking events for students and postdocs.  At the same time, this programme will enable the guest speaker to meet with colleagues, discuss potential future collaborations, and explore potential funding opportunities offered by the University and Colleges to support sabbaticals and future exchange programmes.

We encourage applications from women and minorities currently under-represented in this research field.

The CPB will cover and organise:

·       Economy return travel for the Visiting Scholar;

·       Up to 3-weeks accommodation;

·       Subsistence allowance.

To apply, please supply:

·       Support letter from a host academic in Cambridge;

·       CV and cover letter.
